Yeah, I get where you all are coming from. We do live in a society that's quick to throw medication at every little problem and call it fixed.

Medication shouldn't be the cure. It should be used to augment the cure.

I've worked with bipolar patients in the psych ward during their manic phase. There is seriously something wrong with them. Most of the kids who call themselves bipolar don't even come close.

That being said, I think "borderline personalities" are the biggest crock of all... they are the most annoying, manipulative people on the unit.

I don't say that I have depression and I don't say that I don't have depression. If I decide to go to a shrink, I'll let the shrink make that determination and whether or not I should go on medication.

Sandpiper, first I really like those birds. I was just reading on Wiki that in New Guinea they are called 'birds that walk a little, then copulate'. So, great name!

I don't think you're depressed. If you aren't sure tho, go see your doc & take a test. Mbe pick up some St. John's Wort & take w/your am multivitamin.

Anyway, what do you do besides work & look after your parents? Got any hobbies? Getting out & doing stuff is the first step to meeting ppl. Might as well have fun while you're at it.

And don't shave your head. Look what it got Brittany Spears.
