In the case where I just met the guy that night, the whole event was really no big deal, feed my ego and satisfied my need for sex....but ultimately was hollow and even the sex wasn't that good. But ashamed and cruddy? Those emotions you should just shake off as soon as possible, they are useless except to make you feel bad, and you shouldn't feel bad.

HOWEVER....if it is someone I've known for a while but haven't been dating, but who I'm attracted to and end up "hooking up" with - I've been thrown into a situation where I end up liking them and this has had both good and bad consequences. Good, because I end up dating them and all is well. Bad....if my feelings get hurt.

Ditto. I don't like having sex with random men (I've done it twice, I don't think that makes me a whore at all to be honest) and at the moment I don't want a relasionship, there's no way I'm waiting ages to get laid because I'm single lol.

Ha...two months...try 6 years! I had sex the first itme when I was 16 then didn't again til i was 22....I was with that bf for 6 months...he was horrid in bed and it didn't last .........

My current BF wasa one night stand.....we had sex the first night we met.....but he called the next day and we ended up hitting it off and we are now exclusive and quite head over heels....so I guess they can be a good thing....

I don't see why it's so hard for you to keep your legs closed until you find a guy who's worthy of being intimate with you. It's called having respect for yourself. Try it sometime.

Clearly she would not earn YOUR respect. But that says nothing for her own sense self worth and self respect.

last time I checked, girls had a monopoly on sex. I've never known a guy to whip out his dick and 10 girls line up to f*ck him. Now reverse the situation: if a girl asks 10 guys to sleep with her, what do you think they will say? We actually have to work for sex. It's not as simple as being attractive. We need to have confidence, make her laugh, be aggressive, say the right things, and impress her. So I think it's alright if a guy has a one-nighter.
