Some faves are: Civilization, SimCity, Oblivion, Beautiful Katamari, the GTA games for a while. I like simple games, too. One of my favorite games for my playstation was Puzzle Fighter. (Kind of like Tetris with explosions lol). Sometimes I just spend hours playing Mah-jong.

I haven't seen this game in years, but one of my favorite games of all time is a text-based game based on the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It was so hard, but very addicting.

Starfox for N64 was pretty cool. But of all the N64 games, Super Mario 64, Goldeneye, and Perfect Dark were hands down the best games for N64.

    Goldeneye imho is a classic.

If you liked Katamari, and FPS's, I think you'd like Portal.

A new puzzle platformer for the Xbox Live Arcade is called Braid.

Portal is such a cool game. But it's a shame it was so short.

I try to stay away from games because they get addicting. I remember in middle school spending hours upon hours playing Counter Strike. I remember some days I'd play non-stop for about 14 hours. Only time I would stop is to use the restroom and get food or drinks. That was absolutely terrible I'm soo glad I'm done with that. Games can ruin some people's lives. Not going out, getting too emotionally attached to it, and flat out not feeling happy if you didn't play. It was depressing.

I have to be careful when I play games as to not let myself get too addicted to them. Probably the only games I will play are the Half life games because the story line behind them are soo cool. Don't play them anymore but I plan to play the next episode when it does come out just to know what happens.

Portal is great. Don't let the first person perspective fool you. It's loads of fun.

If you're into Civilization you might like Galactic Civilizations II (http://www.galciv2.com/). But only if you can stomach lots of sci-fi crap.

gribs, any idea where i am going with this? i'm frustrated because i don't know how to put the horses and camels and dogs and everything else in cages so that they're not roaming astray.

i'm going to be making a fortress out of the three mountains to the right. i've done a ****load of mining that way as you can see. looks like there's some zircon in the lower lefthand mountain. i better check that out.

    any suggestions?

    edit: image removed. ridiculously huge.

I'll send you a PM, Lilwing. My reply keeps getting longer and more complicated.

OMG. I feel like I took the wrong turn at the mall looking for Starbucks & ended up in the teenybopper arcade....

I've been playing around with this today. It's a space sim. Somewhat complex. I managed to dock with the International Space Station... and then I nudged it out of its orbit and sent it plunging into Earth's atmosphere where it burned to a crisp. Whoopsee-daisies.
