Edit: Just realized its a mini driver, idk if they have an 18v mini driver yet, haven't bothered to look at work.
    It's not just a driver.

I have the 10.8 v driver, but this is a 12 volt driver/drill. It has a torque and speed switch and puts out about 600 lbs of torque.

Lugging around my 18 volt Brute Tough Hammer Drill to set small screws is more a pain than sacrificing power. This 12 volt will do just fine and fit in my pocket better than conventional 12 volts.

Very true, 18v drill/drivers are a a magic trick in themselves to get into some places.

Wonder what you're spending that last chunk on, have tools and photography bagged.....a set of Wolfgang Puck pots and pans I'm betting.

Yeah, I have about 260 dollars left.

I spent that money fast, eh?

I kinda already bought what I was set on buying, so I don't know.

I work in a home improvement store and it amazes me how fast tools and stuff can eat up money. 300 bucks is not unreasonable to drop on a drill/driver/hammer drill.

I was working electrical the other day and was astounded to find a 4 way light switch was $40. My goal is to get everyone out the doors with one in their bag.

You spent the money fast, but you didn't waste it. You will use all those things and they will last you for a long time. I buy video games and fast food, I am not a good spender unless its for my motorcycle.

P.S. I would have no use for one, but I wouldn't mind having a demolition hammer we stock.

That's true for DSLR's...not so much a point and shoot. They all are basically the same after 8mgp. Some have little neat feature here and there.

I was about to post that an electrician of all ppl should be able to rewire a normal stereo to have the safer GFI plug, but then I realized for $100 (and the cost of whatever else you might buy), and your time its totally not worth it.

I can't believe how cheap these electronics are these days. I saw a Kodak 8.x mpg 3X zoom for under $100 after xmas. Not your Pentax, Fras but still....

    Rewire...?

A normal radio doesn't act as a cord splitter at all.

Plus it would look rather ragtag even if I did.

You overestimate my abilities Indi, I'm still learning, and electronic circuitry is beyond me at this point.

Sorry my boots and my radios don't live up to your artistic pallet.

Your own "work" must be a real disappointment to you as well.

    It's a work radio.

Is your radio tested to sustain a 10 foot drop onto concrete?
