sorry dharm, stick to fashion. male/female attraction is not your strong point.

Honey, I dont wanna call you clueless because then I'd feel as though Im passing judgement, and I dont know you. I'm not speaking solely of male/female attraction, Im speaking also on projection - conveying a certain attitude - which is a part of style.

You would never know that I'm gay if you were to see me in public, and thats because I possess alpha male qualities. I am able to project a confident swagger like Im the baddest dude on the planet onto your perception. I know all about it honey, we gays live for it. And thats why, 9 times out of 10, we look better than yall to women because we readily know how to exhibit this behavior. So next.... >>> The closest a beta female will get to an alpha male is his dick in her mouth, nothing more, because he will only seetle down with an alpha female. And alpha females are the ones that are all about their outfits, nails, hair, and shoes. So u can keep your little trashy woman in sweatpants, and her hair not done, it makes me not a difference. What you eat dont make me shit. I'm just telling you something I know.

What I really want you to do, Dharmic, is to advise the MALES about how to dress properly. They usually look worse than the women.

And you are right about the chandelier earrings and the necklace.

Also, flip-flops are for shorts or the beach, not dresses.
Hey Vashti girl... Its about time someone knew what they were talking about. You are right too. Some of these straight men just look a hot, sizzling, scorching mess, but I do admit though, some straight men actually get it. The whole flip flop with dress trend is ugh... I cant stand to see it.

Doppel we are not talking about self esteem here. Who am I to say he is not qualified? He seems to have the background for me and I want to read what he has to say and I can go from there.

If I am going to go on camera, I see nothing wrong with seeking his advice for tips.

Great choice.. love to see women dress like this. Like ladies.

The male is a domestic animal which, if treated with firmness, can be trained to do most things

So how does a straight man that "got it" knows how to dress?

I'm curious because I LOVE how my man dress. His dress actually DOES make him appear confident. Hmmm...

Yeah, an' I like my women just a little on the trashy side,
When they wear their clothes too tight and their hair is dyed.
Too much lipstick an' er too much rouge,
Gets me excited, leaves me feeling confused.

Well first of all, people don't settle for mediocre unless they are an incompetent piece of shit. That's common sense, but that has nothing to do with this subject because what is 'mediocre' is a subject of debate. From what you've posted in this thread, I would say that you are speaking from personal opinion, because I personally know people who find fat people more attractive than people in shape, contrary to what your own opinion that fat people are unattractive. I also know other people (including myself) who find natural beauty more attractive than caked on makeup and silicone breasts, with a 24 karat gold dress draped over it all.

The reason why I asked what your qualifications are, is because (no offense) being gay does not qualify you. Neither does being in the fashion industry. If you really want to be a good fashion designer, you should probably take into consideration that not everybody is attracted to the same look. Hell, sometimes look doesn't even matter.

The reason why I don't like the fashion industry, is because they sell insecurities, not beauty... kind of like those male enhancement products advertised on the TV all the time. Everybody is always worried about fitting in, and they are willing to buy overpriced clothing in order to impress other people. Think of all the discomfort a person has about that. I genuinely believe that affects a person's confidence, independence, and self-esteem, as well as sex appeal and what not. I think it affects a person to a physical level - the way they walk and talk, and their posture, and other mannerisms. It adds a lot of stress to a lot of people's lives. It's more stress that nobody needs in my opinion.

As far as making people more attractive, I think it's a matter of making them happy with the way they look. If you can make a person happy about the way they look, they will be confident about their appearance. If they are confident about their appearance, they will start making conscious decisions about it, and eventually develop a look for themselves that they are most content with.

Im not a designer, I'm a stylist, and I understand exactly what you're saying, and I may even agree with some of it.

Yes, because wearing fur-lined boots in say, LA wouldn't leave you with feet smelling like skunks at all.

I get the whole UGG boot crazy, you're supposed to look at them and go UGG when you figure out how bad they have to smell.

Yea, those boots, which i thought were dead, really made a strong comeback this winter.. You see, girls, I'm not one for trends, if its one thing I cant stand, its seeing everyone do the same thing. When I style a client, I do use one trend, but also, I try to get to know the person as much as possible so that I can ad a tinge of personal style.

A HUGE MISTAKE THAT WOMEN OFTEN MAKE IS TRYING TO DO ALL THE TRENDS AT ONE TIME.

Some men just know how to dress sharply. There are alot of different styles. You have Emo, which when done properly can look fabulous. You have skater/rocker, which is really a big trend now and it has even crossed over into the hip hop style. You also have the classic hip hop style. There is the business man style which depends on how he compiles it that determines whether it looks good. He may or may not follow trends, but he will have a certain amount of chic personal style.

A must have for anyone of any style: A Peacoat. It just makes you look more polished and chic.
