Again, you do not either as you are not a father. However, my husband is. We have discussed this type of scenario and he would choose our child. I'm not offended in the slightest. Is this a difficult concept for you to grasp, Fras?

"No, YOU try again. This was Gribble's original post, and I have bolded the relevant parts to make it easier for you to comprehend. The article itself was incidental."

Gribble's original post was motivated by the news article. So the article itself is relevant in this case. His question presented the scenario of a spouse and child having an equal chance of survival. However, from reading the article, we know the son had no hope of being rescued while the wife had a much greater chance of survival. You jumped the gun and answered like any logically-challenged person who is susceptible to knee-jerk reactions.

    "Yes, I am literate."

    oh yeah? lol

"STFU Neo. You have no ****ing clue in this what it means to be a mother. Our comments are completely based in emotion, not logic you stupid Tractor. Just cause *your* mother would have left you to drown doesn't mean all would."

hahaha, why on earth would I shut up? This is a public forum. Everyone is entitled to give their opinion. And why would I need to know what it means to be a mother? That's like me saying "you have no clue what it means to be a male. So you can't post in any threads dealing with guy issues." F*ck me, you say some of the dumbest shit. lol

The only retarded one here is you, Neo. Posting on a subject you have NO experience of. Again.

Pity you were given a brain. A spinal cord is plenty sufficient for you.

Apparently, Gribble thinks I understood the relevance of the article, because he thanked my post. (NOT yours.)

Frasbee - I admit I don't know what it's like to be a father, so I didn't comment about that. I don't understand the irritation with me? Is itbecause I would choose a child over a parent? I would hope my husband would choose my kids over me.

Anybody notice that only the women are getting spanked for choosing their child over their spouse?

    Why is that?

you make this too easy for me

to further demonstrate how dumb you are, I never said I would choose a spouse over my child. So there's no point for you to bring up my lack of parenting experience. The fact you keep focusing on that only serves to show the weakness of your argument. If you must know, I would attempt to save my child first if there was a chance of survival - even if it's only 1%.
Moreover, following your poor rationale, you have no reason to post in any threads about guy issues b/c you have no experience being a man.

"Pity you were given a brain. A spinal cord is plenty sufficient for you."

pity you were allowed to escape from the kitchen where your mental faculties are better suited.

Because Gribble is the only one smart enough to appreciate the feelings associated with pushing something larger than a sperm squirt or daily dump out of one's body.

All that time to Google a response and that's the best you come up with? That's not at all original. My insult way owns yours. I'm disappointed Tractor.

I'm confused; maybe I missed it. Was this topic posted in "ask a male"?

haha, why would I need to Google a response? I write my own material. The reason for the delay is b/c I'm switching back and forth between studying for my anatomy exam on Friday and posting on LF.

p.s. my insult was much better than yours.

by the way, I love how you conveniently ignored this part.

Yeah, whatever. You misogynist types always think the kitchen insult is unique. You remind me of the guy I caught stealing cable once at our street pole. When I asked for ID he told me to go inside and bake some muffins. My neighbour who was there laughed and told him I probably taught his kids at college. He called me a bitch but took off when I said the City truck was on its way.
