The best vodka I ever had was in this beautiful clear bottle with a winter blue snow scene on it. All in Russian, so I had to take their word is was vodka. Was very smooth. Dont know the brand, tho I would recognize the bottle.

Agreed. I love tequila. Vodka is meh... needs a mixer.

And, about the soaking of the fruit in vodka, do you get drunk off eating the fruit? Or do you drink it with the fruit in it, like a vodka-y sangria?

I'm pretty sure we can't buy alcohol in Sam's Club here.

When I was in NM I was refused alcohol (a 6-pack) at a gas station because I have a vertical driver's license. It says "Under 21 until 2006". I'm 24. Give me a break. Luckily the bartender was lenient.

Oh gosh, yes. This is an old english thing: google 'rum toff'. I'm sure its in most other cultures as well. A way to preserve fruit (and get drunk).

This looked like the writing on the bottle I had, but it was a beautiful 3d image of an outdoor snow environment. Like the Grey Goose bottle, but not.

Mmmmm, fruit soaked in alcohol. My friend makes some delicious nectarines that he soaks in rum, grills on the barbeque, and then puts in his sangria. Yum-o.

Its like Mexico. You can buy a full size Bacardi for $7 there.

Smirnoff is by far the worst Vodka I ever had. I hate it. Anyways, those of you complaing about Vodka sucking straight up....NO SHIT! ....I wouldn't ever drink it straight up...maybe a shot for a occasion with people.

There are people that drink it straight. Like Russians.

I've gone drinking with Russians. After a few, they will drink antifreeze and live to tell about it, so that's not saying much.

I can not solo-shot any alcohol. I have a gag reflex that resolves me to sipping it. And that, my friends, is no good.

I am a little sad to see my favourite vodkas aren't on here; being Stoli's or Skyy.
