He was found later I dont know how many miles away, obviously didnt make it. But they showed his picture and their home afterwards, and all that was left was her support beam to the closet she was in...

I know, I wouldn't either..I'm just saying if I had to make a choice. An F5 Tornado wouldn't allow the support beams to live on reinforced concreate/steel structures! (Winds of 270-320mph with a tornado thats like a half mile-mile wide!!)

Did you know the longest Tornado ever was 2 and half miles wide, the longest tornado lasted over 9 hours, and the most powerful Tornado ever did winds of almost 320mph. The deadlest Tornado cost lives of almost 700 people, and put 3,000 more wounded and critically wounded in hospitals. The costlist Tornado did almost 2 Billion dollars in damage.

I spoke to one of my customers today and he was ordering flowers to be sent to his mom and he was in Kissimee and said they were having 110 mph winds and it had not hit yet that he wished he had left. We both were surprised they had phone service.

**** man ! no liquor involved. I'll be too drunk to notice its amazing beauty. **** that ! I'll do it sober !! And without sleeping on a ****ing porch ! I'll be out in the streets playing and having the time of a lifetime while all you pansies hide away in your houses squating in a corner in a room somewhere where you can't see its true power and beauty.

A hurricane really is one of mother nature's most beautiful things. It's almost as beautiful as a tornado, or an aurora. But nothing beats a beautiful sunset over the waters with a few clouds that bounce off the light in magnificent colorings.

Ok, so I just read through this entire thread cause I don't get on much so I miss a lot. This thread started exactly how Jane's thread did way back about the fires in California. This thread went on quite a bit longer. In the face of natural disaster people tend to present their good hopes and wish for the best those who are in danger. However this thread spun off into something retarded. Every once in a while there would be a refreshing on-topic post about the soon to be realized hurricane but I hafta say that Billy, you had some entirely worthless posts in here. I forget who mentioned it but you do have a tendency to make things about yourself when people couldn't give a shit less. Telling those in the path of Frances to embrace disaster is an equally ignorant stance. I've heard you preach many a time on how intelligent you believe yourself to be, however you fail to grasp the tact and wisdom of knowing when to stifle utterly incompetant remarks. I apologize if this is taking in any hostile way, I just can't stand ignorance, especially when littered throughout what should be a basic thread of hope of those in danger.

This is what makes me so different from the world. No one see's things the way I do. No one thinks the way I do. No one believes the same things I do. So therefore I will stand down from my little "podium of making everything all about myself" and I will just "blend in" with the rest of humanity.

You people can go on 'hoping' and 'praying' for these people to live and not loose their houses and such. And I will go on my way - living my life and not worrying about anyone else's belongings and/or lives. To ya'll, I know, sounds pathetic and uncaring. But I tell you it's not. You can think of it what you will. I don't really give a shit anymore. No one is going to listen to me anyways. Everyone has already labeled me whatever they have - once labeled, it cannot be removed. Its there for life.

I pity you all. You label people and then put them on the shelf where they 'belong'. When they speak you 'know' what label is there and you act accordingly. Unfortunately I dont where a pretty label. So my words are shunned upon. No one looks at it from another point of view, and they just stick to their ways without thinking. THAT my friends, is ignorance.

People act the way they do because of what others will think of them. You hope and pray for these other people because you want to be looked upon as "that type" of person.

The population screams out that diversity is good. But when something like this comes along its either "do what we do; pray, hope, help" or you're an outcast and considered ignorant.

I do not say these thigns to change your views - I could care less what your views are. I am not here to judge. I am not here to put down. I am not here to hope and pray for others. I am not here to worry my ass off for people I'll never meet face to face, people that will remain uneffected by my actions or beliefs or whatever I want to think. I could hope, and pray and light candles, and all that good crap... It isnt going to make anything change. I am not saving anyone's life. I am not making the storm go away. No one can do that.

I am here for myself and people that are directly affected by my actions. ACTIONS. not beliefs or hopes or dreams or prayers. Things happen from ACTION.

Yeah, I believe in a God. But he isn't going to stick down his hand and save someone's life, just because I asked him to. He wont make the strom change course, or disipate the slightest. He is there for guidance. For SELF guidance. Not some miracle.

My posts in here I do not consider worthless. If anyone would have looked closely, and actually had an open mind about me from the beginning, then you would have noiced my words were meant to calm people's fears. To minimize the worry.

Squir said she was affriad she is going to loose her house. I told her to not worry about it - dont fear the storm. It is comming whether you fear it or not. Your house will be destroyed whether you pray or not. Your life will be taken whether you have hope or not. Or maybe nothing will happen at all. Whatever is going to happn will happen. It doesn't matter if you sit on your knees the entire time carrying the Holy Bible in your hands as you pray throughout the entire length of the storm, or if you are sitting in your living room playing a game of poker with friends and family by candle light. Whatever happens is going to happen for a reason. There is no stopping it.

So if it is going to happen anyways. Why suffer yourself thru all that pain and misery of fear and worry ? Would you rather die screaming from fear - or would you rather die with a smile on your face knowing you did something with your life ? I choose to smile.

I am sorry that you people are the ignorant ones. I am sorry my posts were misread as "ingorance" or whatever. I am sorry I pissed people off. These were not my entensions.

What IS my fault is thinking that you people were not so ignorant. I am sorry I thought you had not labeled me whatever you have. I am sorry I thought you would read my posts for what they are - and not what you have labeled. I am sorry you walk thru life in fear because you are affriad to open you eyes and see things for how they TRUELY are. I am sorry you people scream out "diversity" just because everyone else is. I am sorry my faith in you all was as strong as it was.

And I will leave this post at that note. Good day to you all.

Your latest post kinda flew in a hundred different directions. It's not that I don't see things the same way you do, I can clearly see where you're coming from but it just doesn't work. Do I think praying is going to help? No. Do I think a lax view of just letting it come and do what it will is going to help them? No. People have different ways of coping with things. If making a thread sharing their hopes and prayers for people's safety is how they deal with impending danger then that's how they do it. However when you tell them a supposed "better" way to deal with it in just not worrying about it because it's going to happen anyway, it not only shocks them but offends them. Believe it or not there are those who can't just ignore the fact that their home could be destroyed. They aren't able to see the future as being homeless and relying on the national guard and able to just say "eh, if it happens it happens." It isn't that people don't see things the way you do, it's simply that you don't have the capacity, or the open mind, to see things the way they do.

I have seen their views - I lived them for most of my life. I lived in worry and fear of things that were inevitable. I would pray for others and ask of others to pray for me and the people around me. I was exactly how they are now. I know how the see things very well, thank you very much. I for one, have open my mind to other ways of dealing with stuff. I have more than enough "capacity" to see many different views on a matter. And I have found that fear gets you nowhere. Worry just brings stress. Stress leads to more fear. Its just a big cycle that will drive you mad. And most of the time that I, and everyone else I know, has felt that kind of cycle, they end up laughing at themselves in the end for being like that. So why be like that in the first place ?

My posts were to open THEIR minds - to expand THEIR capacity for looking at more than just one view. I was trying to help.

I cannot help but notice that Zekk pointed out some of the same things I did - in a post that Billy never chose to respond to.

Billy your views are really not that original - If you've ever been to AA you would be familiar with the Serenity Prayer which encourages people to accept the things they cannot change, change the things they can, and asks for the wisdom to know the difference. However, I agree with Zekk and still maintain that for some people faced with the prospect of losing EVERYTHING it doesn't offer much comfort.

I have always liked you Billy because you remind me of a dear friend that I have here, Josh. Like you Josh is extremely intelligent, gifted at all things computer, and often sees things in terms of cold logic. When he was your age he too missed some of the subtlties of interacting with other people.

It was not my intention to make you feel like you were being labeled - I just thought as an intelligent person you were probably trying to continue your goal towards education and enlightenment and one step on that journey could be the realization that sometimes people either need your sympathy or you to hold your tongue - because talking to them as though you believe yourself a superior being isn't always appreciated.

Thanks jslaughter. I know I am not good with interacting with others. I never have been good at it. I do know I am not a superior being, and I am very sorry if I come off as acting like that. I don't think I am the smartest guy alive. I actually believe I am far from it. But thats irrelivent. I think you are right. I have always thought "there is no grey areas - only black and white" and saying I think in terms of "cold logic" has made me realize just how bad its gotten. I am sorry I show no sympathy for the people in Florida. I really do hope no one gets hurt or looses anything. I was just brought up differently. I never was shown sympathy. No one ever prayed for me. And I was raised to show no sympathy towards others. Whether I felt sympathy or not, it was irrelevant. I was taught that sympathy for others showed self weakness. I know this isn't true, but it has been seeded within me. And when I don't think about what I am saying or doing, deep upbringings will get the best of me.

I appologize for causing anyone anger and/or frustration. This was not my intentions. So I will leave this post saying this:

God speed to you all. You are all in my hearts.

Another things I've noticed a lot in your posts is the repetition of the word "I".
