Well Qwerty I think you just shot yourself in the foot. Yes, that would confuse me too. Sex reenforces emotional feelings toward someone (in normal people anyway). No strings sex is one thing, but sex with a friend is something totally different unless you both state that it is no strings and you both have the willpower to uphold that. Most people don't have the willpower to have no strings sex with friend because (I'll say it again) the only difference between a friendship and a relationship is sex.

I'll have to agree with the_robot that a man having a female friend isn't always a "play" to get sex. I actually think that's quite sad to become friends, build up the friendship over years and years with the sole aim of having sex a few times and destroying the friendship. I admitted that I had never been friends with a girl/woman I wouldn't date, but I certainly didn't lust over them and look for opportunities to start a relationship or have sex with any of them.
