Compared to Marshall, MN it was HUGE city.

Next summer my bf and I are going to try to take his girls out to the Black Hills/Bad Lands. Every kid needs to experience that. I can see the Wall Drug billboards now.
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
    blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
    A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
    Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
    Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

Eh, we have 10,000 lakes as they say. It is quite pretty. Lake Superior is bomb. You don't feel like you're in Minnesota, it almost feels like an ocean somedays. We have a lot of cool state and city parks. There is a ton to do and we have the 4 seasons which I bitch about but its a nice break and gives me things to look forward to. I'd say the naturey things are best. You'd never think of Minnesota as being culturally diverse but in St Paul/Minneapolis it really kind of is. We have a ton of fun Hmong restaurants in St Paul.
I live in Saint Paul now, but I consider the overall Twin Cities area to be my home. I moved here a few years after college, to get a fresh start on my life. The many lakes and parks are nice, but I also appreciate the rivers, especially the Mississippi. The winters aren't as bad as they used to be, and the summers are pleasant compared to most places. And while it's nothing to brag about at the moment, the local music scene has been great from time to time: Prince, The Time, The Suburbs, The Replacements, Husker Du, Trip Shakespeare, Babes in Toyland, Soul Asylum, Semisonic, Atmosphere, and Brother Ali. I like Tapes 'n Tapes right now, but I don't know if they're going to get famous. A lot of good music venues, and a pretty decent nightclub scene.

Your city does nothing but shelters Mexicans, and you should be ashamed.

I live in New Mexico, which is only the fifth worst state for children's health, according to a recent study. Hey! We're getting better!

In my opinion, everything good about this place is up high. We have wonderful mountains, deep blue skies, beautiful sunsets and big, white, fluffy clouds. Personally, I find the unrelenting sunshine a bit much, but most people love it. It also dumps snow here in the winter and we have excellent skiing.

My city is four hundred years old. This can make driving around confusing, since it's not exactly laid out in a grid, but I grew up here, so I know my way around.
    Oi! New Mexico is awesome.

BC on the whole is a big beautiful place, and unfortunately too many people are figuring that out. It's green all year round, lots of parks and beaches and mountains. Amazing wineries (I'm going on a wine tour next weekend). There is literally only one bad thing about living in this province......the cost of living. We are taxed up the ass for everything. House prices are insane in most areas (unless you want to live in some tiny town with no work available). Our government is always looking for some other way to jack up the price of something. The joke here is that B.C. stands for "bring cash".
^Yes, except its the joke that isn't.

Okay, I know FOB, what's CBC. Not radio-canada, I assume.

I live in Palma de Mallorca (currently) . City center is nice, but out of center streets stink, there are ****ing big cockroaches running on the street... I'll start again , I tell you pro's and con's of living on Mallorca

    Let's start with Pro's
*It's warm here, all the year, during the winter temperature doesn't sink under 10C ,so it's pretty warm for Europe , during the summer average temperature is like 35C ,sometimes is colder and sometimes is hotter
*I know some nice places to eat Paella and grilled meat
*Fishes are ****ing cheap , you can eat as much salmon as you can , it costs just like 7 euros / kg which is very very cheap (for example in Germany you pay like 15 euro /kg and in Poland even 20 euro/kg) , seafood is of course cheap too
*There are very nice beaches here
*Residents of Baleares and other spanish islands have 50% discount on flights and boats to mainland or other islands in Spain

    I think this is it...

    Con's
*First and foremost , if you don't speak spanish , you're literally FU CKED UP . The bullshit about living here without problems when you speak english or german is a bullshit of the year. The only people who speak english or german here are germans and english Unfortunately , they will not provide you with work ,as 90% of employers here are Spaniards ,that of course wants you to speak spanish, they don't care that their clients - tourists , don't speak a word in spanish and would prefer to have possibility to speak in english or german. This is not important . Well, also if you don't speak spanish , you will have a problem to go to a doctor as it's almost impossible to find one that speaks german or english. But of course, it's international island with more tourists than inhabitants
*MTV sucks here, they play just spanish music ( compare to other countries like France,Germany or Poland they simply suck )
*Life is ultra expensive year and you earn crap money, to be honest if my bf wouldn't live here, I wouldn't even try to live here as it's pretty impossible for a young person without finished education. Ok it's possible, but then you're poor cause the money you earn let you just pay your flat and buy you food for 2 weeks .
*Telecommunication is expensive here, and slow (internet)
*I think people here live with a motto "What has to be done today, can be done next week" , just don't believe anyone that something will be done today, because you will probably wait a week or even a month - also if you pay them
*And then again, it's complicated to leave the island, you can't do that everytime you want, you have to book the plane (of course if you're not willing to pay fortune for a stupid ticket)
*In winter you're pretty ****ed up here, it's too cold to go to the beach, and besides the beach there is nothing else to do, so unless you have playstation or something , you're going to die from boredom
*Movies in cinema are played with spanish dubbing... There is hardly something that is played in OV... Oh yeah they play Twilight saga in OV...

Of course it's all from a perspective of an immigrant
    I wazzzz here
