So, how was Tunisia. Do you recommend? For how long assuming I'd be bringing my family.

It was good. I think I already gave you a few details. Since you speak decent French, you'll be able to get by. I felt as though they spoke better French than standard Arabic. My travel advice is to book a 5 star ultra all inclusive suite. Use the railways for travel and avoid tourist guides because they are assholes and don't know anything at all. Avoid eating watermelon and anything that might give you a stomach flu. If you get a chance to do the two day Sahara safari, do it. I regret not going alone and doing this myself. Check out the wikitravel page on Tunisia. It's such a small country, you can travel to all the interesting places in 5 days. And be careful when swimming in the sea, there are jellyfish and urchins and all kinds of things. I got stung a few times, but I managed to catch a jellyfish in a dixie cup
