good question! I need to move on and dating is the most viable way. I want to be in a relationship.. but with the right person.. and I need to be in it 100%.

If you go on the date just looking for a good time by going out with somebody else the feelings you have after it is over will be different then your looking as dating as a way to get in to a relationship. Comes back to how you look at things

a date is a way to determine if you want a relationship (platonic or not) with someone else

A date is just a time planned out to spend with somebody. That's it. You setup a time to meet somebody then you spend time with each other.

yeah im just putting too much pressure on myself. It just sucks cause I am lonely thats all.... i just need to take things as they come and stop trying to force it

this is why I explain things like I do and ask certain questions the way I do. To try to make that switch click in people's heads. Once you get down to the real meaning behind certain words a lot of unneeded pressure goes away.

Have you considered a short term relationship, with a petty cash fund for that purpose? Or, why not simply go for a bike ride or pick up a new hobby, or take a class or something; you may meet someone who shares your interests.
