    No, HIA. That's not real wasabi. The fake stuff is the powder. You can't keep the real stuff. You can buy it as a paste, apparently, but it quickly disappears once opened.

    That can't be the same as the fresh stuff. The process of grating the root releases the enzyme that catalyzes the reaction I just mentioned. Unless they do something like snap-freeze the root and pulverize it (and remove the water). Hmm.

    This reminds me....I also like hot mustard. It's not spicy, but it has a slow burn like wasabi, which is probably why they add it in. God, hot mustard is so good on a nice home-cooked ham.

    I can handle it but in moderate amount of spice. But I can't tolerate spicy food like Thai food its really really hot.
