Have you seen the Sherlock Holmes DVD series, Mish? You might enjoy it.

Don't bother to buy, tho. Most libraries will carry the title, I think.

With the notable exception of Columbo I've never watched many detective shows. However, I've read everything I could get my hands on that wasn't absolute rubbish. I love detective novels.

Holmes, invariably, takes the cake. I just love his admittedly deserved egotistical streak. I wonder what he'd say about Poirot.

"You remind me of Edgar Allan Poe's Dupin. I had no idea that such individuals did exist outside of stories."

Sherlock Holmes rose and lit his cigarette. "No doubt you think that you are complimenting me in comparing me to Dupin," he observed. "Now, in my opinion, Dupin was a very inferior fellow. That trick of his of breaking in on his friends' thoughts with an apropos remark after a quarter of an hour's silence is really very showy and superficial. He had some analytical genius, no doubt; but he was by no means such a phenomenon as Poe appeared to imagine."

"Have you read Gaboriau's works?" I asked. "Does Lecoq come up to your idea of a detective?"

Sherlock Holmes sniffed sardonically. "Lecoq was a miserable bungler," he said, in an angry voice; "he had only one thing to recommend him, and that was his energy. That book made me positively ill. The question was how to identify an unknown prisoner. I could have done it in twenty-four hours. Lecoq took six months or so. It might be made a textbook for detectives to teach them what to avoid."

The actor in those vids did a great job of Holmes. I found myself disliking him, but completely enjoying the fact that I was supposed to.

I enjoyed a karaoke night and singing my favourite songs to some 100+ people.

I think I found my new passion.
    Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame

I got messaged from a cutie at my school. This conversation lasted back and forth for about 4 hours and ended with me getting her number and her asking me to text her tomorrow. I'll most likely be asking her to prom later in the week. Today was a good day.

My sexy co-worker gave me a sexy look today creating repercussions with far reaching consequences. No longer content, no longer bored, I feel refreshed, excited, energetic. All kinds of hilarities are coming out of my mouth. I am more approachable, more friendly and more aware of my surroundings.

I think it's fair to say that my overall level of happiness and well being has more than doubled today all because of that one sexy look.

    What have I enjoyed today?

The simple things really... the sun roof on my car (never had a car equipped with that feature)... the power seats... cleaning the car for the first time (oh to see such a shiny, clean car underneath is a sight to behold)... and thinking to myself 'Yes! It's paid for... one less thing to worry about!'
"The weakest soul, knowing its own weakness, and believing this truth that strength can only be developed by effort and practice, will, thus believing, at once begin to exert itself, and, adding effort to effort, patience to patience, and strength to strength, will never cease to develop, and will at last grow divinely strong."

    I got Resident Evil 5

I can say in all honesty it had been a while since I got this much enjoyment out of a video game.

I wasn't excited about number 5, where's the zombies? You're just killing a bunch of poor black people.
