What annoyed me today is that my co-workers insist on making a bee line for my desk when they need ANYTHING done or fixed. There's such a thing as "carry your own weight".

Girlfriend might lose her visa rights in august since the job market is being a major pain over here. So if she can't find a job by then I guess she'd have to head back to hong kong. Bloody hell...

Another round of layoffs at my dads workplace.... this time, though, only 17% are being cut compared with 25% when they made their last cut 6 months ago! Unfortunately some projects may get cut more than others so we will just have to see how it plays out
Luckily, since my parents actually knew how to save their money and manage it wisely, my dad can be fired and we'll be fine. He may just even retire early if he is cut this time, in which case he may actually ask to be laid off. Some people just never learned how to save their money and won't know what to do when they lose their job

I am annoyed that we have a man in his 30s who has figured out how to work the system so that he has apparently taken up permanent residency at my hospital. He has been there for 54 days (and counting), and there isn't anyting wrong with him. I am pretty sure he loves the healthcare system as is.

My friend got laid off the other day. Poor guy. His parents are loaded, though, so it's not a big deal. Still, he was trying to make it on his own without turning to mommy and daddy for support. Now they'll be picking up his car payments most likely.
