I used to go to an arcade a long time ago. Later at night there were mostly DDR people there playing, just to give you an idea of what to expect. If you do go there would you be able to at least bring along some mace or something, for worst case scenerio? Would your sister be able to go at least?

I don't think it would hurt to go as long as you don't leave with them later or let them follow you. I've found that lots of times if a place "feels" safe, it likely is. Just drive by the arcade place and make sure it isn't in the shittiest section of town.
