I just started The Wooden Sea by Jonathan Carroll.
I won't give a lot away, but it's very complex, very absorbing, and a hell of a lot of fun... just don't get attached to any of the characters. The author kills them off with startling regularity.

Nope. I didn't say who got killed off... and it's a swords/sorcery fantasy epic - it's obvious to anybody that reads the genre that characters get killed in 'em.

Its okay. A bit out of date w/Obama in office but the issues are the same.

I'm currently reading The Trench by Steve Alten, for the third time. I'm almost done with it, then I'm moving on to Meg: Primal Waters by the same author. It's a series thing..

American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis. I thought it would help me get geeked up for The 120 Days of Sodom, but it's tamer than I originally thought.

The marriage bed must be a place of mutuality—the husband seeking to satisfy his wife, the wife seeking to satisfy her husband. Marriage is not a place to "stand up for your rights." Marriage is a decision to serve the other, whether in bed or out. -- 1 Corinthians 7 (The Message)
