... That hurts alice. If you didn't just help me with my homework and weren't female - I wouldn't let you get away with that.

    LOL hey good point!

    Okay if you insist...

    Here's my other question.

The problem I was working on, was again another factoring problem. Started as:

    9z* - 24z + 15

Common monomial factor is 3 so we come up with

    3(3z* - 8z + 5)

And then I factored it down again to

    3(3z - 5) (z - 1)

I checked the answer in the back of the book to see if I was right and it read

    3(z - 1) (3z - 5)

So pretty much the same thing I have just mismatched. Are both answers correct or did I mess up?

    it's the exact same thing

    GOOD JOB!

    the law of multiplication,

    9 times 5 = 45

    and 5 times 9 also = 45

in the same line of reasoning,

    (3) times (3z -5) times (z-1) = the same things as,

    (3) times (z-1) times (3z - 5)

    again, well done!

    Hey thanks a lot!

See I wasn't sure if the laws of multiplication were the same in algebra, I always thought entering the world of algebra was like entering the Matrix. Where the rules can bend and be broken.. or something.. LoL

Thanks again - gonna try to finish up mi tarea now.

    haahahahah, lol Tone.

i like to think of algebra this way...

imagine a pyramid. the base of the pyramid is analogous to the material you learn in algebra for math.

math is to pyramid , as the base is to algebra, (if ya know what i mean)

but i like the matrix reasoning too! lol

Yeah I understand. That's why I was so lost to start with.

Because in Intro to Algebra in 9th grade I was too busy goofing off and flirting with my 9th grade crush that I didn't pay attention in class or do well, and ever since then - not having the foundation to the algebra pyramid - I have been lost. It's why I failed Advanced Algebra in High School and now have to take this shit now.

But alas, someone has came in and is trying to help me REBUILD the pyramid's foundation! And his name is RSK (and friends).

What I'd like to know is if RSK is up on his stoichiometry...
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

    ::blushes::

This is too much for one day.

If people that see me everday read this thread, they will NOT believe it is me you are talking about. I have a natural ability to REPEL chicks. I think it's a superpower or something. I say Hi. And that's when the repel forces begin. It starts out gradual, and then they say Bye

That doesn't make any sense at all RSK!!!!

Maybe the women your approaching are just so stuck up their own butt they don't know a good thing when they see it.

Or Maybe they are the ones that prefer the loud mouthed, annoying, unattractive, aggressive guys.

I don't know for sure but whatever the reason, they have no idea what they are missing!!!

Oh, WOW Roseb, you have no idea how much I appreciate your post.

But it's a problem I have been having FOREVER! And it's pretty well documented here on LF

Girls seem to approach me, but then they loose interest, and then that is that. It happens a lot.

To be VERY honest. There was ONE chick who REALLY REALLY liked me. But I just wasn't attracted to her. But that was when I was in high school, and I judged chicks like the asswipe I was. I REALLY wish I opened up to her, and gave her a chance. Sometimes I feel like I am being punished for that moment.

And as far as the chicks that approach me, I just think I chicken out, and I'm not open enough...

...I've talked A LOT about this here, and I've recieved TONS of advice, so thx everybody for that.

Well, that's over now, and I'm looking ahead. It's time to make some changes, and I really am. Just waiting for some interviews and ONE acceptence letter, and that will be a 'new' beginning of an 'old' end

Roseb, thx for the kind words...
