Actually, we had a talk the other night because she was frustrated with me.

We talked about us, whether we could exist together. We talked about a bevy of things ... you know ... life.

Current status = okay. She's okay with where I'm at for now .. we'll take each day as it comes.

So what is the solution? Take it one day at a time?
    Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame
    God or the Devil

Not just three highly intelligent individuals, but probably the 3 greatest mathematicians of all time. Some of the other greatest mathematicians being David Hilbert and Isaac Newton, both Christian, and Laplace and Fourier who I don't know offhand whether they were religious or not. It just so happens that none of the greatest were Jewish or Hindu or Muslim, but that's besides the point

The point was that people of an unprecedented capacity to understand were theists. People today forcefully argue that their "logic" dictates there is no god, while people of absurdly higher capacity to handle ACTUAL logic may often disagree

Even a genius can be brainwashed if someone gets to him before he's learned to tie his own shoes. Living in 17th century Europe doesn't help matters any, either.

I like this Doctor. How about Axelrod, Dirac, Crick? All self-proclaimed atheists and geniuses. Nobel laureates too, I think. Or my favourite: Feynman.

You've never heard Feynman speak. He was Jewish, obviously so. Einstein too, I think.

Einstein was indeed Jewish. Though non-practicing.

Ahhh, these discussions never get anywhere

Let me AT LEAST say that if that Crick you are referring to is Francis Crick, then holy fuccking shit fuccks are you wrong. That guy and his butt-buddy Watson did nothing but steal work from others without crediting them. Both are also unbelievably racist. I HOPE you aren't referring to Francis Crick

DM don't turn this thread into another holy war please. Let's address the doctor's problem with arguments and discussion pertinent to his problem.

I personally do not ****ing care what mathematicians were christian, or not. It is also not relevant to this discussion.

Excuse me for pointing out that theist beliefs and genuine intellect were not opposites, which DoctorB and many others here seem to think they were

BTW you have some fuccking balls to telling ME that, you already opened up your mouth with your obviously restrained anti-Christianity

All I do is mention in 1 line that theist beliefs and intellect aren't opposites on the same spectrum because so many here seem to think they are, and I get a dozen replies in argument

You didn't have a problem with Gribble and others at the start of this thread pointing out that smart men like Einstein WEREN'T theist. But of course that's something you wanted to hear, right?

All the hell you've been doing is mocking and bashing Christianity up until this point, letting everyone rail on about how Christianity and intellect are polar opposites. I point out the 3 smart men of all time were not only Christians but devout Christians and you shit a brick

I'm closing this thread since the Doc has come to a conclusion at the time being. If he has more problems he can open another thread.
