How many relationships have you had in your long life, Phoenix. BTW, you aren't living up to your SN. Rising from the ashes and all that.

    I have had none.
The ashes have scattered too much.
Can someone please explain what is so great about constantly being reminded of that which you cannot have?

No, you can have you have made the choice (as you so adamantly stand) to not have it.

All we were trying to do is get you to see the light. Which you refuse to do. So you CHOOSE to not get something. Becuase you failed a few times does not mean you will fail forever. You have simply decided through your own self that you will not attempt to get it. Choice is the key word here.

**I just realized that is your signature** But my point stands.

    It's tired but true:

Winners never quit, and quitters never win.
Good decisions come from experience. Experience comes from bad decisions.

Quit before you start? You'll go far with that attitude.

Tried and getting your heart broken without getting anything back for it sucks, so why continue? How many times should I try?

I've decided to stop before any more misery comes my way. Not knowing what "the rewards" are, only makes it easier.
Can someone please explain what is so great about constantly being reminded of that which you cannot have?

My point is you can have it but you choose to not have it. That is very different that not being able to have something.

Relationships aren't that scary, some people just make them to be.
-to be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.- e.e.cummings

Most likely I can. I've never suggested otherwise.
I've made more choices that other people think are strange. Why should this one be any different?

    No doubt.
But the misery leading up to that one single "succes" sucks. I choose to avoid that

You've never been in a relationship yet all this guy talks about is how crushed his heart is? How in the hell have you been shat on so much without ever even coming close to having a relationship?

Well I think guys, you should stop to make him happy if he doesn't want to...
Metal, don't forget to come back in like 20 years to say how it is to be a '40 yo guy who never had a gf'.

Now for real. I needed to be ****ing heart broken to know how real love looks like. If my stupid ex bf wouldn't break me to the bone, I probably
    1.wouldn't meet my current bf
    2.I couldn't appreciate how lucky I am

and... my situation just proves that sometimes you have to be ass kicked A LOT to finally find the true love (i hope mine is a true love, it's over a year but it keeps getting better and better :p) AND to know how to be happy. You shouldn't take away that chance from yourself. BUT if you want to, go ahead, be sad and write poems about loneliness

...and you all act like love is a necessary condition to be happy. Like it's the single most important thing about life. >_>
