He might be able to get your street address from your internet service provider. Or at least narrow down your location to a single, specific neighborhood. And he can get that IP address if you sent him a personal e-mail without taking any special precautions.

EDIT: And since he knows what you look like, he might find you just by lurking around your neighborhood. You said something about him taking a vacation soon, and he knows what city you're in. Maybe he is coming to pay you a surprise visit.

It's also true that I don't know you, you're just some stranger online. And you don't know this guy, either, he's just some stranger online. But he could be a rapist or even a serial killer, so try not to give out so much information to a guy who acts so creepy. And if you're sending him e-mails, at least learn how to mask your IP address, though it might be simpler to just stop talking to him.

Geolocation with an IP address can only give the location of a city, at best. Do you know how it does that? Certainly not through mathematically calculated latitude and longitude coordinates. Very rarely will you get an IP address to give a precise location within 100 miles.

The only way to truly get someone's physical location from an IP address is by issuing a subpoena in court for the ISP to release this private information, which will only be forced by a judge is there's a high suspicion that the person behind this IP address is trafficking child porn or conducting any other illegal activity.

If she posted from, say work, from a server with a static IP you can certainly track down that machine. I can think of a couple of easy ways. I ping my work machine all the time.
