I wanna get put in a hospital, and have them perform a "controlled killing" on me.

Cause you know, I kinda wanna see what'll happen when I die. So they'd have all the doctors and equipment ready to revive me soon after I'm dead.

For a while it was hard to figure out wat was going on in their faith but after i could understand where they where coming from. My gf(at the time) and i would find a common ground where both of us would be comfortable. Its really a debateable topic if religons count or not. Look in the end its only love between two people and thats wat keeps you's together. But the main thing is try and find common ground where both can meet in the middle.

why is the worst one of them all "muslim"?

This is the whole "ignorance is bliss" shrug-off. I hold that the more we learn about our world and our existence, the better off we will be. I think that truth is accessible, and beneficial. An open mind to the mysteries of life is less likely to get caught up in the less noble aspects of this whole game. For example, do you think many serial rapists sit around and discuss metaphysics?

DO plague yourselfs, all of you! Don't get depressed, but bask in the mystical voyage that is this experience!

Donut----I am in agreement that we need to continue learning and seeing things from multiple perspectives. It makes for a more interesting life! However, I also acknowledge the limitations of the human mind, *oops*, my human mind, and its [limited] ability to comprehend everything. Everything including who made the Universe and the nature of God's existence :-)
That said, maybe more sleep might help.

What fun would a relationship be if you agreed on everything?

    Mary - "Hey, praise god."
    Joe - "Yeah, god rules."

    The end. Not very exciting.

Ill send in Dr. Cavorkian(sp) for Frasbee...though most people who do have near death experiances never do so on purpose, and of those who actually see heaven wish that they never would have to return here. It's also a miracle at all that they come back, because most doctors of patients who go through these experiances say they were about to give up on reviving them when they came back...

This is rather interesting. I was that Christian OpticalIllusion had been refering too. Now, I'm a Buddhist. It's funny how the world works. I'm sure that people are very confused now. I'll be glad to explain to anyone who has questions. ~Tink

Aren't you the one who often signs off a post with "huggles"? If so, No, I don't want to hear your explanation.

To me it matters not since I do not have an opposing god that would care lol. If the relationship doesn't work then put another thing down on the list of " Religion is stupid a fawked this shit up".
For once I agree with Only-Virgins. I had a wonderful marriage for twelve years. My wife was a Buddist, I'm well, sorta Catholic but am very private about it. I respected her faith and she never asked or talked about mine. Fine, there was never a problem what-so-ever.

Then... she dropped out of Buddism and started exploring some really way- out new-age stuff. Not that I had a problem with that, but she got so into it that our marriage went into the crapper. I wasn't to be part of her 'spirtual quest.' I didn't know that being on a 'spritual quest' meant telling your husband, ' F*** you it's over. We've grown apart.'

But can your relationship work? Sure it can. Just be aware at all times that it is a big difference between you, and you each must respect each others beliefs.

Just my two cents (adjusted for inflation)

I think whether or not inter-faith relationships work usually depends on how committed one is to their faith. Let's face it: Christianity says if you don't believe in Jesus you are going to Hell. No good Christian is going to want to see this as their beloved's future, and they damn sure aren't going to let someone condemn their kids to Hell by allowing them to be taught that there is no God. Buddahism is a different story because, as I understand it, they do not claim to have a sole monopoly on Truth.

"Humanity grew weary of its doubtful state of mind
So it summoned from far and called from near
All the wisemen thought to be sincere
To heal its wounds and make it whole
And lead the way back to the soul
    And the wisemen came together
With the hope to free mankind
From the rubbish that had gathered in God's name
To embrace and trust each other in a search for the Supreme
And they found that all their teachings were the same"

In my faith, Jesus understands my doubts about him.

And that's what makes him so cool.
