Excuse me... Unconditional love does exist. This is fact. Just because you haven't felt it and made it last doesn't mean that it does not exist. Did you stop and think that things happen for a reason? I'm not saying in a religious sense, as I'm not religious, but in a common every day sense of it? How do you know that the person you're breaking up with is the true love of your life? As far as I'm concerned, they're merely a bend in the road to finding the love of your life that you'll spend eternity with. Granted, we may love before, but it's always possible to love again in the same way. The old love just grows into a special place in the heart that can never be taken away or lessened.. It's simply there. In turn, new love can grow in your heart that can be either to the same degree or greater. Either way, when you meet that special someone, you'll just know it's right. So, your argument that unconditional love does not exist because there are breakups is, to me, invalid due to the fact that they're just not meant for each other and meant for someone else.Originally Posted by THX

Rowen. I agree that just because relationships in the past haven't worked out doesn't mean you won't find equal or greater love in the future. Millions of couples have had love last to the end of thier lives. My point was the loves that last were begun by conditions being met, and stayed togather by conditions remaining above water. That's all.
