i had same prob. all i did was wack once in early evening around 7:30 and then once in late evening around 11:00 and then once before i went to bed which was whenever. I only studied (casually) as far back as Ancient India...roughly contemporaneous to Sumerian culture further north, as I recall. Interesting anthropological parallel: fertility and moon worship ended and phallic and sun worship began about the same time pointed tools were developed. Something having to do, possibly, with a change in outlook that appears to have occurred when nomadic gathering societies transformed into stationary agrarian ones, and land became an important thing to dig in...and defend.

this sounds funny but sometimes if i have to wake up at a certain time i tell myself before i go to sleep, "i have to wake up at 8am." and it works! serious! without the annoying alarm clark, ugh. try talking to yourself before you go to sleep that you want to sleep until whatever hour and not to let anything distract you. if you try it, let me know how it goes.
