I remember seeing something similar in a Hammacher-Schlemmer catalog years ago, but I think it was a lawnmower. It had sensors to go around trees and stuff, and then you basically walked it once around the outline of your yard.

An automatic lawnmower? Oh man my husband would love one of those. I'd be afraid it would run over a neighbours kid or dog, tho.

lol! I wonder who would be held liable for that: you, the company who made the lawnmower, or both of you.

Oooh. Imagine what an automatic wood chipper could do!

Actually, the kids are okay. Its the stupid dog owners who don't scoop after the poop that suck.

I want a Roomba too ... It has a sensor to avoid falling downstairs and automatically returns to its base. However, I did read that it takes a few initial runs before you notice a difference since it is a rather small unit. Once it gets the room clean, it runs every day or so and keeps the room super clean, also improving the air.

I do want one. And Miso, like I said, after a couple of regular runs, I hear it does an awesome job with dog hair.
    no autographs, please!
