I don't find a 5 year age gap that large. I was seeing for a bit a girl who is 20 and I am 25. It is the fact that this girl is only 16 that makes it strange.

I myself met a 20 year old at a polish pilgramage and had some things in common, but I'll probably just be friends with her, and worry about people 2-3 years my age either way to settle with because of the position in life I'm in.
P.S. itmeansnothing, is a perfect name when your not in school and chatting 12 hours a day to him.
Even married couples don't chat that much, and they see and talk to each other whenever it's necessary.
