...this is just my perspective on the situation...
I think you do hang on to your first love unknowingly. after breaking up with my ex I started dating this girl who was similar in every way to her and that's where I stopped myself. The fling after that was my manager and that didn't last long but she was the extreme opposite but in the end I think it's the blondes that attracts my eyes and perhaps I'm always thinking if it were my ex.
On the side note, there's some nice asian men out there probably ones that have a western philosophy over the Asian guys at a restaurant. I've met a few of the really Asian (more specifically Chinese) types and they seem to have this traditional mindset about well to put it bluntly, housewife stay in the kitchen type mentalities.
Want to stay away from those ones imo. And you sound like this older girl I met who told me she was into asian boys the first day I met her haha. I feel all little boyish around her and too shy to ask what she really means!
That's not right, DM. Stereotypical and unfounded.
While I do value a good work ethic, it doesn't mean people that don't force their kids to do things are 'lazy'. I think westernized culture advocates people pursuing what makes them happy, which I find is better in the long run. I don't have to worry about my parents disowning me for wanting to be a circus clown, because that's what I love (that's not actually what I love, just an example). Besides that, my fiance and I were both top students......quite out of our own free will.

Everyone has the capability to succeed despite their race or ethnicity. So, I agree with Bluesummer that asians are not technically "smarter" than whites. Because success does not come out of nowhere, kids need a good role model or authority figure to teach them values of hardwork and success. People who think that they will succeed without hardwork is just stupid beyond belief. Occasionally when someone does well in school or work without the need for hardwork is completely accidential.
I think what Bluesummer means is that interest matter as much as hardwork. And I completely agree. If someone is interested more in being a teacher than being a lawyer for an example, they should pursue that despite what their parents tell them. On the other hand, I think the reason why asian parents (especially chinese parents) tries so hard to convince their kids to be lawyers or doctors is because those are the careers that will benefit them the most financially and parents want their kids to be better off with a prestigious and financially well off career. "Money make the world go round" as they say and prestige gives people respect. The fact that asian parents tries so hard to mold their kids is because they really think parental guidance one of the most important factor in a child's success. I think they are well aware of the fact that their children will eventually do what themselves want to do but they (the parents) would not give up providing guidance for their children without a good fight.
Some say it is "oppressive" in a sense but I think asian parents are often misunderstood in their intentions. They don't want their children to go loose and do whatever the heck makes them "happy" because children and even young adults at times doesn't really know what makes them happy in the long run.

I agree with Asian priorities, and honestly, I think they are superior in many ways. There should be some balance between doing what one loves and being practical. After all, people are expected to support themselves and a family one day, and it's awfully hard to do that if you pursue a career in something useless like underwater basket-weaving. In my opinion, it is better to have a career that while tolerable, may not have been your first choice, but will allow you the finances to raise up a family. One can always pursue their hobbies/interests/etc on the side.
Ultimately, I am very practical. Most jobs that are personally rewarding don't pay much. With all due respect to Mother Teresa, I've been poor, and it is MUCH better to not be.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?
Is there a problem with me trying to promote some good feelings between members? Can you even take the fuccking compliment? I was being sincere- you sound like you would be very hard to throw into emotional instability, something probably rare for girls
Since you apparently don’t like to be complimented, I can go the other way and tell you that Asians and Asian culture hasn't produced jack shit in science, math, or decent civilization, and despite the feelings so many Asians have of superiority in those areas you can easily notice the lack of Asian contribution in any fuccking math or science book. Who discovered all those theorems and things you learn about? Ethnic European men, gee what a surprise!
You could have been not a bitch and ignored the compliment, but like most weak people you choose to actually turn it against me. When someone makes a compliment they expose themselves to someone, and if you turn that around and use it against them you are weak
DM my darling, perhaps she LIKES the sweet talk... I sure do.

Sorry. 100% true. As a quick example, in my linear algebra book, there were only 4 ethnicities to have contributed noncommon knowledge. They were the Germans, French, Italians, and Austrians
Shut the **** up DM. You don't know what you're talking about.
I love how people can be in such denial about matters like this. It is a fact people of European ancestry contributed nearly all the goods that brought us to where we are now in math and science. And by "we" I mean the people in their fields. So not us
Look up any of the names of people associated with the theorems of calculus, linear algebra, abstract algebra, numerical analysis, manifolds, topology... almost all Europeans, but a number of Russians too
In physics, basically everything from Newtonian mechanics to quantum mechanics....
Similar situation in chemistry, which you would know if you ever picked up a chemistry textbook
Ooops, forgot to mention Switzerland in my earlier post, nestled in there between Italy and Austria
Nikola Tesla.
Maybe 100% true, but not 100% FACT.
Look outside your text book.
Europe (composed of many ethnicities) is not without outside influence.
Asian cultures were already well along with mathematics well before many other regions of the world. Not all, but many.
Here's a question, what is it you're trying to prove before this boils down to insults? Because I'm getting the notion that once again, you've made an outrageous statement out of emotional anguish and once you've been called out on it, you feel the need to defend your position to a ridiculous degree.
So please, let's get specific with facts and references.
