The uni is over
Time to celebrate!
The uni is over
Time to celebrate!
Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame
God or the Devil

This weekend was so amazing. I hooked up with my girl on Friday night. I cooked dinner at my place, then we watched movies, had a long love making session and then talked half way into the night. She's one of the few girls I ever felt motivated to talk to instead of going straight to sleep. She is just so understanding and empathic and intelligent enough to stimulate the conversation and keep it interesting. There is this open flow of discussion and emotions when I'm with her, never any barriers that I've experienced with other women.
On Saturday had Yum Cha (Dim Sum) to celebrate end of uni with my uni group. Then went back to my gf's place. Felt tired due to little sleep during the night so I slept while she studied for her exams. I woke up to a dinner she made for us, it was beautiful.
On Sunday I took my family to see my music teacher perform in the art gallery. Everyone was stunned by her performance, such an amazing voice, my mum almost cried when she heard her. Do you ever get a feeling like you are in another world when you listen to a beautiful and soul nourishing piece of music? Her voice has this magic.
Anyway, it's weekends like these that make me realize how good I have it. Life is precious, we need to cherish every second of it.

This got me thinking.
I've never felt this way. Never.
I'm not talking about music, either. It could be anything: poetry or prose, a meal, great sex, a scenic drive. I never feel anything even remotely close to this.
Is it me? Or is everyone exaggerating?
Is something missing within me? Something which facilitates the enjoyment of life?
God, so atrocious in the Old Testament, so attractive in the New--the Jekyl and Hyde of sacred romance.

If people are good only because they fear punishment and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed.

Gribble. I've cried with very moving music or a touching story.
Not everyone is wired for it, tho. My husband has never done so, to my knowledge. Too emotionally controlled, you may be the same ilk.
Second thoughts can generally be amended with judicious action; injudicious actions can seldom be recovered with second thoughts.

This weekend was incredible. Halloween is probably the single most fun and wild night I get to enjoy each year and damn was it incredible. Met the hottest Asian girl I've seen in a while who was wearing a cop outfit. And got to watch one of my buddies DJ most of the night and see old college buddies. Halloween is my favorite American invention ever.
I gave you my heart
I gave you my soul
Now I'm just another number
at the Center for Disease Control
I've enjoyed these Berkeley boys many times today.
