Yes, sorry. My criticisms were artless and just as crude as anything else here. A mistake.

I just have some simple questions for you. Do you watch TV on regular basis? What is your favorite movie and book? If you have a job, what is it?

Do you watch TV on regular basis?
No. I have never owned a television set - my mother tapes and sends me late night channel 4 (an English tv channel) documentaries on hypochondriacs, scabble players, glaneurs, etc. Otherwise I go to the cinema (where I live has an outstanding indpendent cinema) or download. I recently downloaded Twin Peaks, which is 65 per cent genius; e.g. Major Brigg's dream to his son, the death of Leland Palmer and the Shelly Johnson / Gordon Cole episode. Most people at time time, I seem to recall, just went on about the funny odd bits; but the power of the series was really in the pure horror and, hardest of all to pull off, the pure love.

What is your favorite movie and book?
No definitive "favourites" of course, but a few examples can be found here.

If you have a job, what is it?
English Teacher.

What grade do you teach?
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

I teach all ages.

Joyce taught English, Kafka filed insurance claims, Jesus was a carpenter, and my uncle lays train tracks. I have given river tours, reviewed websites, waited tables, cleaned kennels and written instruction manuals. Although I enjoy language and I enjoy playing with children - i.e. my job is not arbitrary - I wouldn't say it was important to understand either what I'm saying here, or... me.

English teacher for infants? Do you get *paid* to do this job?

EDIT: Ahh... you edited your post rather than answer me. That speaks volumes.

It may just be because I'm tired and sick, but did you just compare yourself to Kafka and Jesus?

Even to compare himself to James Joyce would be a stretch.

I think at this point it's safe to say comparing him to anything except an out of touch fruitcup would be a stretch

By the way DJ, I was pretty much following you until you mentioned not owning a tv but instead being sent tapes of documentaries on hypochondriacs and scabble players
