Excuses are used to gain sympathy and get out of the situation. Understanding is giving them upper hand over the consequence as opposed to an adult, also known as sympathy. Figure it out.

No one should have a better anything. There are adults with the reasoning capabilities of a 16 year old and vice-versa.

Look, OV, I don't do drugs, never have, never will. I don't think that makes me better than anyone here, as I don't think it makes you better. You need to calm down and learn not to judge so harshly based on peoples' pasts. Typically its not what people don't do in there past, but what they DID, and learned from, that makes them a "good" person. You need to learn there's lots of extenuating circumstances in peoples' lives that will causes different life habits at a young age. Plus the fact that everyone is different, learn differently, etc. That doesn't mean you're better because you didn't do those things. In fact your bitterness against those who suffered learning things in a harder way than you, and your automatic and over-rationalistic hatred of anyone who seems to make 'bad' decisions would, in my opinion, make you a worse person compared to those who have humbled themselves enough to respect the conditions which cause drug abuse. So calm down and don't take everything so seriously. Calm down, and try to be nice.

But not to carp. He needs to lay off the drugs.

I dont care if a 16yr old has reasoning capabilities of a 40 yr old or vice versa. IMO, adults should know better than kids. Plain and simple. And if you don't agree with that, there is something seriously wrong!

And you know what... what I did or didn't do in my past is not sad to me. It made me who I am today and I'm stronger because of it. I have had horrible crap happen to me because of it...so what? It's part of me and I'm damn proud of who I am.

Actually you got it right the first time round more correctly about me. I enjoy arguments in hope of pushing myself towards support of my various points of view and in due proccess I learn more about why I have these views in the first place (As many others do as well including yourself)

But I don't think there is anything wrong with smoking God's Green Herbs , and taking some pain pills once and a while or smoking a little opium (its organic). But taking hard drugs like my list above is just tacky (especially for an adult).
