I think it's only invisible to the human eye not invisible per se, our eyes can only see to a certain extent. There are certain things which our eyes can't see and our ears can't hear.

Yeah, it must be playing with optics refractions and projections, etcs..otherwise if it's just at wavelengths that our eyes cannot see it may also be harmful if worn for long periods of time.

My ex's father used to do 'top secret/classified' work as an engineer. He did some really crazy work with aircraft or something. And the unaware called these weird sightings- UFO's. Even his wife (the ex's mother) did not know what her husband was doing. He could tell no one.

well optics aren't a big secret at all. i'm sure there is military equipment in development right now utilizing the technology, probably a little more advanced than what is shared with the public.
