With women, it is more waiting for a man to come and offer you enough 'presents' so that you will want to sleep with him.
So it is more that a woman is stagnant in the conquest and the man is actively seeking her, jumping over hurdles so that he can have sex with her if you will.
Following that it would therefore appear that the man is conquesting, while the woman is the spoil of the conquest.
Therefore the man wins the conquest and gets the sex, and due to his victory the woman is obligated to perform.
But what if I told you that you are wrong and the conquest you refer to is just a figment of your imagination? You are choosing sex as your primary motivator for any interaction between men and women, at the expense of turning a blind eye to what really happens. For instance, did you know that many women are not motivated neither by casual sex with strangers nor presents? They are motivated by character and they don't search for random sexual encounters (like many guys do) but for someone who compliments them and provides them with other necessities (many of which are emotional e.g. feeling protected, belonging, companionship).
