My grandfather served aboard a ship in the navy. His duty position was right beside his ship's main gun. Today he's almost stone deaf. After years of battling he successfully proved his hearing loss is largely due to that gun. He has been reimbursed thousands of dollars for medical bills and cheap hearing aids and a top of the line set of hearing aids have been provided to him as well as free batteries for life. Uncle Sam is a little reluctant, but he does take care of his boys eventually.

John Stewart. Football rally tomorrow, then going to the Cal-Stanford game on Saturday followed by seeing Tiesto and an afterparty after that. Been a long week, can't wait for the weekend.

I found kegs of Virgil's root beer and cream soda on sale. For those of you who aren't cola connoisseurs, Virgil's is the best shit ever. It's expensive as hell, though. I managed to get a couple 5 liter kegs for 7 bucks each. You can't get four lousy 12oz bottles for that.

I enjoyed working from home today. I was able to get my work done, go to the gym on my lunch hour and then meet friends out for drinks later. One friend proceeded to get drunk and cry, and a person at another table projectile vomitted, but it's not a typical day in NYC if these types of things don't happen.

After a couple of weeks of feeling like I was working in a psych unit, I finally had a day with all normal patients. One was only 18. I love having young ones. They haven't spent decades learning how to be whiny and manipulative regarding meds.

f*ckin' Comcast owns the channel that broadcasted "The Big Game" ... I wish DirecTV could've showed it SOMEWHERE.

Rearranged my room furniture, works like a charm now, and enjoying a relaxing meal in front of the telly.

It's Sunday, my one day off.

I'm just chillin' out on the couch watching a show on the internet, drinking coffee and eating a homemade pumpkin roll. A great way to follow up going out to a restaurant with g/f and mutual friend then going to a local venue to see a free show. Unfortunately the band "Skatalites" which are like the forerunners of reggae and ska canceled, but the plus side was there was no cover charge.

I've kinda gotten used to these long hours, and long weeks. Just makes me appreciate the time off that much more. And next week the job site will be closed Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, so we'll be getting a nice 4 day weekend.
