That's early morning for her. She may be in Europe when I am in Germany by the way. Wouldn't that be nice if we could go to the Hoffbräuhaus or something? That would definitely make for a loveforum moment.

    What is the Hoffbräuhaus?

Oh, and if you go to Germany, CHECK OUT THE V2 SITES! And take pictures

And the V1 sites if they still exist, those things were ****ing old-school! I think most of them are in France though, as with the V2 sites

Haha, I will spend most of my time in the big libraries full of ancient Germanic literature and whatnot. But I am sure I will eventually get around and go site-seeing.

The Hoffbräuhaus is a famous German pub. I can't believe you haven't heard of that!

I can't wait to drink German beer. I am going to drink it every day. Blue Moon is the closest thing I will get around here, and that's not even German beer.

Grolsch? Beck's? Aren't those German imports?

Haven't seen those in the area, but yes. I may have to make a special trip for those. Ahh... desperate measures.

By the way, why the **** do people like light beer? I like the dark stuff. Amber Bock, Guinness, Budweiser select. The darker the better, in my opinion.

That definitely sounds German, and I have never heard of it.

I can't put my finger on any favorites, really. But I can point out the ones I don't like. Right now, the only thing on that list is Heineken. God I hate that shit. Worst beer ever. I think it's piss.

I love daaaaaaarrrrk lagers. Lots of hop flavoring.

If you have a real beer store around, try Spaten; very heavy, but with a hint of sweet; there's also a fantastic (imo) beer from a brewery based in Quebec; http://www.unibroue.com/english.cfm ...actually all their brands are really good.

And also, again, if you're at a real beer store, see if they have this beer called simply "Lion"; it's from Sri Lanka/India, but any worthy beer store will have shelves labeled with the different regions of their shelves' stock.

But, you'll probably have the best chance finding Spaten, of any of them. I highly recommend the "Optimator" stuff; bud light, miller light, natty light have their uses...binge drinking or drinking all day on a beer cruise on a lake or something, but if you settle down, you'll love the above-mentioned, if you have a thing for full-bodied character.

If you don't like heineken, steer clear of beck's & grolsch & pilsner urquell, especially grolsch. They're basically more extreme versions of heineken.
