This wasn't your stalker guy, was it?

Tell your boss what's happening... read that article about your mail and office and stuff. Move your samples to someone else's fridge for a while and anything else that is important. Change your email passwords, etc.

I have to park it at the back of my house and the walk through my garden to get to my house..thats the closest i can get it...when i leave for work its dark, and likewise when i get home.
I also have to walk my dogs in the morning in the dark..those are the times i feel really vulnerable as he knows i have to do this but theres nothing i can do to change my routine.

I say feel vulnerable but he hasnt really actually touched me physically and im really not sure whether he would..he just likes to shout!

I never thought that..i guess it couldve been- though he would have to go seriously out of his way to get access to my lab.

Oh god, you are in a lab. Are you at a company or a university?

You know about the crazy woman at the NIH who spiked her labmates lunches w/P32? You are probably too young to remember, but I do.

Anyway, the fridge could have been unplugged by cleaning staff. That's happened to me.

Q, don't get too paranoid babe, you did all the right things. You've known him, your friends have known him, he's a co-worker. The odds that it will go any further than this are slim. You hear about the crazy cases in the media, but most people go their own way because they come to their senses and even if they don't, they don't want an arrest on their record.

Be smart, be careful, but don't drive yourself crazy. Your work is aware, the police are aware, if he contacts you just document it and let them know.

You should print out that email and take it to your boss. Ask how to make a formal sexual harassment complaint.

im def no expert in this type of thing, but wouldnt it just be your regular harassment, not the sexual variety ?

Despite what others say, I think this guy is nuts. He's sending abusive, traceable emails even after the cops talked to him?

Again, don't reply. But keep all this stuff. In fact, I would forward it to an account you know you will have access to if you download your email to your computer.

Stay tough, Q. Keep the cops on speed dial and let a couple of close friends and perhaps a trusted neighbour know what's up to keep a lookout for you.

I came into work early and spoke to my boss..i told him absolutely everything what had happened from start to finish...lol i just let it pour out and by the end i was a mess and i think he was feeling slightly awkward!!!
He was quite shocked by how it has escalated, he did say he can only deal with stuff that happens on work premises or time as I was friends with him way before i started work here.
As he works in a different department, our boss is gonna make sure that he has no reason to come near my work area (as he usually doesnt) and as we all start work at around the same time, we have arranged that we meet up in the cars nearby and drive into work behind each other (me and boss i mean) and also he will escort me to car and drive out together..for peace of mind if nothing else.

He isnt going to speak to him just yet, as ive asked him not to because im gonna see if it eases off over the weekend..if it doesnt then he will get a formal warning for the incident on the drive in.

TBH im pleasently surprised at how good my boss has been about it, and is going out of his way to help.

Im gonna get today out of the way and then totally forget about it all over the weekend!!
