Because western society has accustomed us into thinking that tan equals beauty.
I've fallen victim to it, although not on an extreme level.
more and more often i am seeing blone girls with orange tans. what's up with that?
baby ya hustle. but me i hustle harder.
totally not cute.
baby ya hustle. but me i hustle harder.
It's hideous.
And to think. It used to be the whiter you are, the prettier you are.
ya i know it sucks, i feel sorry for the really pale girls. This really pale girl at my work went to Cuba for only a week and tanned so much there that she got burn't to the bone lol, she looks so ugly now that its not even funny. I think to tan well, you have to be a little tanned naturally. Pale people shouldn't tan at all and infact should hide from the sun
also i have a question about people with freckles, I heard sun exposure is really dangerous for them, is this true?
1910 - A tan means that you're doing hard labour outdoors in some lowly job, hence the paler you are the more well off you're considered to be.
2010 - A tan means that you can afford travelling overseas to get and maintain that tan, rather than being a pale office rat who never sees the light of day.
I fail to see where beauty comes into the picture.

I guess it depends on the person. When I was young I was a milk ball. I began tanning (at salons) when I was 15, and continued since then (I'm 23 now). I never went crazy with it though, so I never became an oompa loompa, but regardless my skin will never go back to being as white as it once was. I haven't tanned in over a month (due to health reasons), and my skin still holds some colour. I guess I kind of conditioned my skin into remaining tanned by visiting salons so often.
But yes, I would never recommend a pale person to go tanning.
Freckles are CAUSED by sun exposure. They are considered sun-damage.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?
