The idea of anyone perceiving you as a pushover is funny to me.

IRL I actually try to avoid confrontations, I try not to argue with people and I'm usually pretty peaceful. But unfortunately some people (usually the one who don't know me very well) interpret it as a sign of weakness and that I can easily submit to their demands no matter how unreasonable they are. I try to tolerate it, but if there is no sign that the person will stop being unreasonable at some point I refuse to take it and I let them have it in one concentrated blast which overwhelms all of their defenses and leaves them speechless. These people usually keep their distance from then on.

State legislature is in session and the roads are suddenly full of bumpkins from the far corners of NM, driving like grannies. They're probably still drunk from last night.

This town is 400 years old and was not exactly designed to carry modern traffic loads.

Customer Service, or lack of. What happened to treating the customer with respect??? Some businesses really feel that WE are there to treat them like the customer. What bs. I always say "please" and "thank you" and I never hear it anymore.

Like today at Starbucks. The girl acted like I was bothering her by ordering my coffee and picking up donuts for my co workers. Its not like I was holding up a line. There wasn't one. I had my order all lined up and wasn't being indecisive or slow yet she had a scowly look on her face and it seemed like it was so horrid that she had to waste more than 30 seconds on me.

I think I notice it more in the food/drink industry. The part I LOVE is that they don't realize they are working for tips. When bitchcakes rang up my order and asked if I wanted my receipt and I said no she looked at me and my wallet then back to me then my wallet. I felt like leaving her a penny and telling her to buy a new attitude.

I made myself lovely rump steak for dinner, only i couldnt get the lid off the sauce as it was on too tight, grrr.

Then i tucked into dinner(with no sauce) had about 3 mouthfuls(baring in mind i was starving) then suddenly felt sick and couldnt eat anymore, gave the rest to the dogs, and about 5 minutes later was hungry again. GRRR.

My only female friend just told me she is engaged to her long-term, long-distance bf. It's so sweet, she truly worships the guy, and vice-versa. I'm really happy for her...

... can't help but envying it though. When will it be my turn?

The computer tech hired to work on my office's network. He sucks and he's rude, and for some reason, my boss bends over backwards to PLEASE this ****er. The worse he behaves, the more she tries to make him happy.

I would fire his fat ass on the spot.

Was bored to death while writing essays, so actually started watching New Moon at last, about 1/3 through and its such a cliché teen movie that it's making me sad

the state government here annoys me. if they weren't always up my ass i could do my job so much better and help people out so much more. they're supposed to be helping and they do the opposite. they always make things worse. and then when budget cuts come around the people who cause the most problems and inefficiency are never cut and the people who do the most work always are.

somebody threw a rock through my cars back window and threw it so hard it hit my front window. i had all kinds of baby stuff that was donated to me in that car. didn't want to unpack it because i'm setting to move soon. got glass all over it.

i can salvage most of it i think. it's so dark i really can't tell the full extent of the damage.

and the police are really helpful. "call tomorrow and file a police report." "we can do a watch in your area depending on the availability of the officers." "i could send somebody out but you might be waiting a while." you know those cops on the simpsons? that is not fiction.

Where the hell do you live, anyway? Up north? I had something like this happen to me in Dallas (one of the many reasons , I hate the place), I was at a conference, and caught some punks trashing cars in the Parking lot. Mine was one of them. No reason, just for amusement. I had a handgun with me so I held the little f**kers for the cops. It took them 1 hour to get there. So I locked them in the hotel pantry. Little Bastards!!
