anyone ever developed allergic reactions to food once they got older??

it's really weird. i never was allergic to anything in my life. then the doctor gave me some benedryl to help me heal my shoulder faster. i'm actually allegic to that. i'm allergice to the medicine that is supposed to help you with your allergies. hey, it could be worse. think of all those people who are allergic to liquor. damn i would die.

well u never know what ur missing out on ... i actually know at least 3 people who are allergic to alcohol ... sucks to be them, but hey ... no worries of alcoholism ...
why do cigs compliment alcohol so much? i wish i could quit while im sober and smoke only when i drink ... that'd be schweet ...no autographs, please!

Wow..I don't know anyone alergic to alcohol and you know 3 peeps, short?? Weird. I wish I developed an alergy to alcohol after I drink a couple of times (just to see what it's like to drink). Then I wouldn't have to keep explaining why I don't drink.. Quick and easy, as simple as "I'm alergic to alcohol"..nobody would argue or bug me about it then.

I'm not sure what exactly being a "straight edge" is...like a prude?
Arty, I don't know that it's admirable not to drink..especially if you haven't had a taste yet.. It's probably more admirable when you've been a drinker and you quit...especially an alcoholic.. But I've just kind of fallen into this lifestyle.
Still, I appreciate it.

It's all about pride, just another excuse for people to group together. Many straight edgers go as far as to look down on those who do the things (smoke/drink) they don't approve of because they feel superior in their "self control". The "XXX" is most common to represent the straight edge.What is Straight Edge?
Straight Edge is a more philosophical offshoot of the punk movement, a reaction to the hedonism and self-destruction that characterised punk. The basic tenet of the philosophy centres around the issue of self-control. The goal is to regain as much personal control over your own life as possible. sXe is the only youth counter-culture to actively discourage drug use, alcohol use, and casual sex. Straight edge is a lifestyle centred around personal development and well being, while encouraging fun and togetherness. sXe is not just about being into contemporary punk music acts and being against drugs. It goes deeper than this. The movement wishes to attract people away from dependancy lifestyles centred around drug habits (legal or illegal) and unhealthy and exploitative eating and general living habits common in modern cultures. sXe is not dogmatic, there are no hard rules, these are for you to decide. Nobody should dictate like the police, or preach an ideology like the church or state.

they can't drink.
they can't smoke.
they don't do drugs.
hmmm... they shouldn't watch movies because that would be dependancy on the evil corporations...
they should not watch tv because, well, can't you get addicted to watching tv or something?
hmmmm... I would hate to be a straight-edger.

i drink because i love the feelings, taste, and effects that it offers. i smoke because it relaxes me when i'm drunk.. and sometimes it helps to sober me up. (shorty, i never smoke when i'm not sober UNLESS it's over a girl). i have had casual sex, basically because nothing feels better than a warm nani. i did drugs because i liked being on cloud 9. and i eat fast food because it goes well with liquor.
i'm what you would call a crooked edger. hahaha
