I used to feel that there should be some sanctity to marriage, to preserve it from being diluted in the free-thinking, anything-goes, nothing-sacred attitude so prevalent and encouraged today. Now, I'm thinking that it probably isn't much different than the controversy surrounding whether women should be required to wear veils in some countries, albeit on a more advanced timeline. Adopting kids in a homosexual union seems just outright cruel to the children though; I'd never put kids through the kind of harassment & insinuations they're likely to receive about their "parents."
