Ringu (The original japanese version of the ring) is the most disturbing horror I've seen so far, these days there isn't much in the way of horror, it's just crud like Saw and such, torture porn :p

"Ringu" was far more disturbing than "The Ring." There was so much lost in the translation.

I don't watch many horror movies, haven't bothered with Hostel, Saw, Hills Have Eye's and ones of that nature because I don't like gratuitous violence and blood and guts.

However, I must say I love Silent Hill. No it's not that scary, but it does have some disturbing imagery without going overboard. And taking it back, I am a fan of the classics such as Exorcist, and even II was decent. Poltergeist and the Shining as well. No not very disturbing, but good well made horror movies.

^^ I had difficulty understanding Silent Hill. I don't play the video game. I just saw the movie, and it was hard to follow. The ending was awesome though.

I'm not a fan of slasher flicks... those are basically just gory and disgusting.

Recently I saw Orphan, and that was REALLY disturbing.

Yeah, me too, particularly the ending...

When she and the child go back to the home she shared with her partner, why couldn't the partner see them??

Was it because she and the child died?

^Well it is just a film after all. Wasn't based on a true life story and I figure no kids were actually harmed and during the making of it....

Disturbing to me, are true life horror tales - like the recent Secret War On Iraq shown on British tv.....now that WAS disturbing.

Yeah, I hear you. I don't play the game either. A lot of it was mysterious to me, maybe that's part of what I liked about it? It's hard to explain, but just the feel throughout the whole movie was fantastic. The world as well as the creatures they created.. really blew my mind.

Horror movies don't bother me cause I know it's fake, so probably it would have to be the Faces Of Death movies cause they're real. Even though some scenes make my body hurt just thinking OMG his foot is hanging from his leg by a vein, I can still watch them with no problem except the animal killing parts. That I fast forward, cause the first time I seen those movies was at a party when I was 15, and they wouldn't let me walk out the room so I had to sit there with my eyes covered, crying while I listened to st. bernard puppies being sliced up alive. Still traumatized by that
