Off the top of my head, it has probably cost well above 2,000 dollars so far. Probably closer to 3,000, and of course, he's spend around the same amount, quite possibly more. Not a shred of doubt, it's worth it.

so far it's worked out that we've taken turns visiting

..and I don't know how much those flights cost him. Because a lot of the time we're forced to book quite close to the departure date, it tends to be pretty expensive.
