Break up cuz of parents ?

Hi all . I'm 16 years old living in texas now. my girlfriend is 16 years old too.
I knew her at the Church , her parents are Missionaries.
a few months ago, we started to text and text til our fingers were almost dropped.
Sep 15 ,2009 . that day was i asked her to be my girlfriend .
i thought her parents were know that we're in a relationship !
two days ago , her mum called me and says " i am her mum , i am not happy "
i even don't have time to ask why she hanged out the phone .
the day after , i met her dad. her dad says that since months ago my daughter staretd don't read Bible and told lies !
and her mum got a fever and didn't sleep for whole night and just cried .
her parents think that we're too young to in a relationship .
so yea i felt guilty..maybe the best way is waiting .

you're so young, I'd wait - focus on something else for awhile. The religion thing is going to be problematic given your age as well, I'd let this one go and stay friends with her.

Hello Hearkbreak,

at your age, a "relationship" is a whole different thing. Don't feel guilty for caring for eachother, as long as it's honest and you're not doing stuff (or making her do stuff) you regret, there will be nothing wrong and nothing to regret.

If your parents don't approve, try to not involve them too much in the relationship. I'm not saying you should "hide" it, just not rub their noses in it, if you see what I mean. Always be polite, let her do the talking to her parents (don't try that yourself, yet) and you can talk to yours.

And don't worry, you'll feel how to proceed.. it's natural : )

My parents are okay with i in a relationship with her.
but her parents doesn't accept it. because of age.
i knew i'm still young . maybe the best way is staying in friends and focus on other things.
