Ok....Just one more step before we go out!!!Need advice on first date

In the love adivce tips, in "what men need to know" section,

It says men need to bring a small present/gift.....this is our first date, so if i bring something like that....maybe she will feel surprised? If not, when should i bring her a present? WHen it gets more serious?

WHat do people normally do on their first dates? I dont know what to say, what to do, where to go, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc....


Is it normal on first dates to go watch movies? I am afraid she may not feel taht comfortable....

If you could share your experience based on your real life that would be most appreciated.
