    Romance in the work place?

    Hey peeps,

I have a gut feeling that my boss is interested in my colleague. He is a divorcee and he is a very nice man. His marriage broke down because he was a workoholic. My colleague likes him too but is not too sure as he treats her on a professional basis. Any advice?

I dont encourage work relationships ... people will start talking and it might not turn nice. He might just be flirting with her.

I started one in the workplace...it recently ended on really good terms but still there is a lot of feelings going around still. Now I have to deal with seeing her on occasion. It kind of makes you smarten up and figure out whats going to smooth things out because really your here to make bacon and you don't want to end out on the street. You are just taking more risk by doing it.

Brownsugar, this is really about you, isn't it?
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

That was my exact thought, especially after the face he made.

Workplace sex...never works. I say that not from personal experience, but from watching colleagues crash and burn. Where I went to graduate school, three quarters of the female graduate students were either ****ing or giving blow jobs to the male faculty. Result: disaster for all concerned.

O come on, why bother with the ruse, this is about you. We're fairly anonymous here and the "my friend/colleague" approach is so juvenile.

You already know what the answer is. Workplace relationships are a no go zone...just read up on some other threads and use your common sense.

Does any one else have that feeling that when others say something is imposible, you get more motivated to give it a shot?
    Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame

Naturally....one always wants to be the exception to the rule...the (wo)man who had it all and did not get caught.

For example, in a totally day-dreamy sort of a way, I'd like to do the neighbor's wife--a plain looking "MILF." She ain't that hot, but she's made it very clear to me that she'd like to screw my brains out. Is it possible that I wouldn't get caught? Sure. Is it probable that we wouldn't get caught? No, of course we'd get caught.

One of the most awful office relationships I have noticed myself was our secretary who used to invite someone we dont know in her room during the lunch time. Both of them were married and have children. I remember she had two teenage boys. What made it really awful was that she used to lock the door of her room from inside so no one would interrupt!. I always thought he was one of her colleagues but I was told he never worked at our place. In the corridor, he tried to escape our looks and not even say 'Hi'.
It was bad for such a respectable place. That was one of the reasons I would firmly say NO to work relationships because if it didnt workout, you will either have to face your ex daily or quit your job.
