    Boxing?

I just noticed there's a boxing gym just down the road from here, and it has mostly younger white guys in it.

Maybe I should take up boxing?

it's also good to get out aggression. pulling some combos on a punching bag is good relief.

Ugh - modern day bread and circuses... maybe after you get through pummeling each other, you can hang out and be buddies? How is your pain threshold?
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

I say go for it. I recently picked up Japanese Joshinmon-Shodan karate. Nothing like a good fight and being friends after. I'm in great shape now, much better than I was during cycling.

Do it Fras, you won't regret it.

My whole family use to be boxers, my uncle and Grandfather were Golden Glove in the Navy and my Dad was Junior Champion. It is possibly one of the best sports in the world, I love it. I don't box competitivly anymore, I just do boxerise to keep fit

This coming from someone who has given into to her primal instinct to push an 8 pound object out of her vagina?

The most civil thing man could ever do is die out, so don't start on the whole "barbaric" bullshit again.

I'd jump into a kickboxing club if there was a good (and fairly priced) one around here, prefer at least some focus on kicking.

Boxing's great. You won't get a better workout. And, unlike most forms of martial arts, what you learn will have a practical application in the real world.

Boxing is great, so is wrestling.

I wished my high school offered boxing back in the day...

Do it, Fras. The best part is that for some reason, you eventually become much LESS aggressive in your daily life. Could be the confidence, could be that physical outlet. Whatever it is, it's great.

Maybe I'll stop by there one of these evenings and talk to someone, and find out how much it is.

I'm beginning to skirt the limit of my budget now that I picked up health insurance. Hopefully I'll pick up a raise by May.

I think you learn respect from boxing, and the aggressiveness backs down.
