The reason there are so few nice guys is because women hate them. See above. They're stalkers or doormats, apparently.

Nice guys stay single until someone with depth and a spark of intellect finds them and marries them, removing from the dating pool.

Given the scarcity of depth and intellect outside very limited circles the above scenario rarely occurs. Nice guys get frustrated and sick of watching awful, sleazy, intellectually inferior men get the girl time and time again. So they either join 'em outright or they learn to manipulate a woman's emotions to get what they want.

There wouldn't be so many assholes if that weren't the case. If women wanted to be treated well, and if they rewarded men for treating them well, there'd be a hell of lot more decent guys out there for you to choose from. It's psychology 101. Reward and motivation.

You think it works this way, but it really doesn't. The problem is that most "nice guys" think the way you do. "Hey, all the assholes get the guys", "I do so many nice things and girls won't sleep with me". The good guys don't whine about it, don't get trampled on, and are still good people and get women.
