Distant during goodbyes...

So I'm visiting my folks in Ontario this week for Easter. Before I left a female friend (semi business associate) of mine dropped me off at the airport after we spent the day togeather. I've known her for just shy of a year. We did some VERY casual dating when we first met but the spark never seemed to go off between us. Whenever were together she fluctuates between really high giggly school girl energy to dead silent bored energy...

Well ever since I've known her we've had these strange goodbyes. I always hug her and she always gets strange and distant. Wont look me in the eye and seems to be "off somewhere" mentally. Before yesterday I hadn't seen her in at least 3 months due to circumstances. Before she took me to the airport we drove past a park I once went to as a kid when I would visit the states and somehow we ended up going and climbing around on the yard equipment and then subsequently went too two of the parks and grammar school she grew up at...

I don't know what to think about all this. I would ask her but she is the simple and sweet type and I'm not sure she even knows what she is feeling.
