Approach Anxiety is the feeling of anxiety that you get when you are about to approach a woman. It is a defense mechanism that is genetically hardwired into your brain to keep your physical being safe from harm. This technology was of great use when chances of survival were much less and this fear needed to be respected when approaching women. (If you approached the wrong woman in historical times, you ran the risk of getting your ass kicked (or killed) by her boyfriend or saying something that will completely turn her off, she runs and tells her friends how big of a creep you are… either way, you are never getting laid again.
Here are some tips that will help you, not only, over come this fear and take this out dated technology that causes an adrenaline rush of anxiety and turn that adrenaline into positive energy:
1. Have NO shame: Realize, there are currently over 7 billion people on Earth as of today. Rejection is nothing to be afraid of and people are much more civil. If one woman says “Go Away!” or doesn’t like something you said and reacts in a negative manner, you simply talk to the next girl.
2. Don’t Hesitate: If you see a girl you are interested in, engage the conversation immediately. Waiting around will make you seem “creepy” and your approach will look completely un-natural.
3. RELAX: Women can read right through your emotions and your emotions are contagious. If you are nervous, she will be nervous too. Women are more interested in your behavioral ques than they are what you are saying to them. Keep your shoulders relaxed, maintain eye contact, and smile.
4. Have NO Expectations of outcome: If you are expecting something then you are allowing yourself to fail. Become a more social being and be seeking nothing when approaching people. Again, women can see right through you. Truly having no expectations of outcome and realizing that if you say something wrong to this one girl, it is not the end of the world.
5. Desensitize yourself!: Do you remember the first time you rode a bike? It was scary right? “Pedals are here, brakes are here, I have to steer this with WHAT!?” As with anything, practice makes perfect. If you make it a habit to do nothing other than approach people, when the “right” girl comes along, you will be ready.
