how long to wait before sex is reasonable? just curious of opinions.

is it better to go after someone with a completely different emphasis than you? (talking about college)

how serious should i be with my next relationship? should it be open? should i spend a lot of time with her?

I don't think it's better to go for anyone with ANYthing that is completely different. If you want something more serious. Some differences are good, but someone with a completely different emphasis on college - and hence probably life as well? May not work out, but I guess if you're casual it doesn't matter.

How long to wait until sex? Depends on what you want and what kind of person you're with. I know good partners who had sex the same week they met each other. My first time, I waited a YEAR. Now, I'd be ok with a month, or 2 weeks

And how serious? How serious are you? This is completely up to you and the person you're with. But considering your last relationship, you shouldn't probably rush into anything that comes along first.
