Why don't I feel anything for the perfect girl?

I thought a lot about what I think the perfect girl would be, and I think I found the girl I was imagining. She look decent, she is nice, she has similar intents to me, etc. I have no idea why I don't like her. I have never had a girlfriend before. I only asked a girl out once and that went horribly. My friend says maybe I am subconsciously telling my self that I don't like her after what happened the last time I asked a girl out. What do you think?

You've only asked ONE girl out and already allowing that experience to traumatize you? That's pretty bad; I kind of side with your friend. You are subconsciously sabotaging yourself. It's a defense mechanism, and with all of those, you can break through and get over it.

Yeah it sucked I told one of my good friends that I liked this girl in my class, and someone over heard and threatened to tell her if I didn't ask her out. I didn't know the girl that well and I knew if I asked her out to early she would say no, but I thought it would be better if I asked her out than having someone tell her.

You'll have to work at it, and if you get a date that leads to a good relationship, then you won't have room to keep dwelling on that one experience.
